Food has a way of bringing people together in Barbados.

Fresh fish off the grill at Oistins, breadfruit roasted and shared at Peg Farm, fruit grabbed from a roadside stall or a neighbour's tree. Deputy or Banks, everyone's got a favourite, cracked open from a cooler at the beach.

Fish cutters, macaroni pie, flying fish and cou-cou, dishes that carry family history in every bite.

Throughout the week we'll introduce you to some of our favourite places to eat and drink, before ending with one of the most memorable evenings of the trip, Dine with a Bajan. More than dinner, it's an invitation to experience Barbados through local food, music, and genuine Bajan hospitality.

Food that tells the story of the island.

SurfERS Bay

Surfers Bay is our home for the week, our base. The place we share breakfast together by the sea, lunch under the sun, and dinner as the day winds down.

Grilled mahi-mahi, fresh salads, beautiful food done just right. Dinner around a shared table, debriefing the day, listening to the waves crash, planning tomorrow's adventures.

Beautiful wines, fresh juices, and rum punch as the night rolls on. Lights line the shore so you can watch the waves crash while live music plays and dinner unfolds. From there, the choice is yours, dance late into the night, or slip off to bed straight after dinner.

Either way, we're back around the table the next morning, ready for another beautiful day in paradise.

dine with a bajan

This isn't just somewhere we take you for dinner. This is a dining experience you'll never forget.

In partnership with Dine with a Bajan, we'll be joining a musical family, led by one of the island's own legends, for an evening that's personal, relaxed, and unmistakably Bajan.

Hosted in their venue, Sage Bar, you'll sit down to authentic Bajan home-cooked dishes made with local ingredients, while live music from legend David Kirton and immersive storytelling from Noelle Attaway bring Barbados' culture to life all around you.

It's the kind of memory you'll never forget, one that leaves you feeling deeply connected to Barbados and its musical history. We'll eat together, raise a glass, and experience the island exactly as it's meant to be experienced.

An authentic evening that captures the true spirit of Barbados.

Oistins Fish Fry

Some places simply capture the spirit of Barbados, and Oistins is one of them.

The Friday evening on the island not to be missed, where fresh seafood is cooked over open grills, music spills into the streets, and the whole community comes together to eat, drink, and celebrate the start of the weekend.

Flying fish, mahi-mahi, or marlin, straight from the grill at Pat's or Mo's, whichever is your favourite, some of the best fresh fish on the island, and portions so big you'll definitely have some left for the next day. Grab a rum punch or an ice-cold Deputy, and dance the night away with locals and tourists alike.

A real cultural moment, every week, and unmistakably Bajan.
